My name is La’Keivia Banks. I am a 7th grade Science teacher at KIPP South Fulton academy in East Point, Georgia, where I’ve taught for three years. I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Biology degree from Clark Atlanta University and my Master’s of art in teaching degree from Relay Graduate School of education. I am driven by my love for mentorship of today’s youth, helping them develop social, intellectual, and academic skills they’ll need as they maneuver through life. I enjoy finding ways to make the many concepts of science relevant to the everyday lives of my students, creating ways for them to explore phenomena and lead their own learning.
