Taylor Benion
Taylor Benion was born and raised in Atlanta Georgia where she began dancing with Ballethnic Academy of Dance. She continued her more advance and pre professional studies with the Georgia Ballet. Ms. Ferguson spent summers training with Orlando Ballet, Georgia Governors Honors Program and Dance Theatre of Harlem on scholarship.
Taylor attended the University of South Carolina on a dance merit scholarship. While in college she was a member of the USC Dance Company performing many works including Balanchine's Stars and Strips, Twyla Tharp's Deuce Coupe, Lila York's Celts.
Taylor graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Dance Education k-12 certification and a B.S. in Exercise Science. After graduation she began her professional performing career spending a year with Dayton Contemporary Dance Company II, directed by Shonna Hickman- Matlock located in Dayton OH. She then spent a season with Washington Reflections Dance Company in Washington DC.
Taylor currently resides in Atlanta GA where she has performed professionally with Dance Canvas and Ballethnic Dance Company. She has taught dance throughout the Atlanta area at Atlanta Ballet and Dance Academy west. She is a certified 200 hour yoga teacher and teaches kids yoga as well.
