Sarah proudly serves as an Associate on our Operations Team, where she supports the design and delivery of NEP’s Building Equitable Learning Environments (BELE) District Network.

Joining the organization in 2021, she comes to NEP from The University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business’ McNulty Leadership Program; where she unearthed a passion for leadership development as a Program Manager for core curricular, experiential learning, and executive coaching programs focused on expanding emotional intelligence capacity for a global population of emerging business leaders. Beginning her career in the arts, and continuously “zooming out” her intense interest in how public institutions operate within complex and oppressive systems; and in turn, serve their publics.

Sarah holds a BA in Art and Art History from Bennington College, where her studies focused on curatorial practice. She credits Bennington for providing her with her first sense of belonging, and of agency in taking up multiple student leadership roles. Born and raised in the Philadelphia area, Sarah now calls the city of San Francisco home. She is particularly passionate about progressive pedagogy, ancient artifacts, and the critically endangered Mountain Gorilla. She is deeply proud of her work, her 13-year-old Pug mix called Pogi, and her disco playlists.
