Change the world. Become a New York Times best selling novelist. Acquire a coveted ticket to one of Oprah's "Favorite Things" shows. You could call these aspirations or dreams of mine. One of these has been nestled warmly with memories of sitting in front of the television with my mother. Another is one that I pursue with an intense imagination seasoned generously with procrastination. And the last is what I do everyday as I work with young kids who will eventually grow up to be young adults, who will eventually become the leaders of tomorrow. To me, making a better world means raising people to be better to each other and to their environment. It is my mission to make the world a better place by loving and teaching as much as I can to the students I have in my classroom.
