Core Values
Our core values - Healing, Humanity, Interconnectedness, Joy, Learning, Love, and Transformation - guide how we work both inside and outside our organization. These values reflect the National Equity Project’s commitment to creating sustainable change through human-centered practices that honor both individual and collective wellbeing.
Healing: Creating space for emotional processing and connection to help us access our full humanity and sustain ourselves and our relationships.
Humanity: Seeing and respecting each other as whole, complex individuals while welcoming vulnerability and the messiness of human experience.
Interconnectedness: Recognizing our invaluable roles in working toward our mission while cultivating diversity of identity, experience and perspective.
Joy: Appreciating moments, celebrating accomplishments and embracing playfulness to foster relationships and creative energy necessary for impactful work.
Learning: Embracing mistakes and uncertainty as opportunities for growth while acknowledging there are no singular solutions in our complex work toward educational equity.
Love: Meeting people where they are, expressing compassion while practicing honest communication that holds each other accountable for our shared future.
Transformation: Building structures and mindsets that enable power-shifting, emergence and change from the inside-out.
