Born and raised in Baltimore Maryland, I’m a big fan of Maryland style lump crab cakes, art and musical festivals, historical landmarks and cultural museums. I earned my Bachelor of Arts at University of Maryland, College Park before relocating to Atlanta, GA where I worked as a preschool teacher for 6 years before returning to school in pursuit of a Master of Arts in Teaching from Georgia State University. After earning my Masters and living and teaching in Atlanta for 11 years, I relocated to the RDU (Raleigh-Durham), teaching English Language Arts for Durham Public Schools. As I am currently a teacher in "Bull City", I am also an active poet and Spoken Word artist throughout North Carolina and along the Southern and Eastern US.
