Lucia K .Jacobs has worked tirelessly as a practitioner and advocate for the children and students of South Carolina for over twenty-eight years. Ms. Jacobs has served the education community as a secondary school administrator, program coordinator/manager, 504 coordinator and teacher evaluator. With a specialty in curriculum and instruction, education best practices and integration of technology into classroom curriculum, Ms. Jacobs was awarded as a Technology Ambassador with the Center for Educational Excellence in Alternative Settings and the Teacher of the Year for SC Environmental Recycling Program. Ms. Jacobs holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from South Carolina State University and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of South Carolina. Currently, Mrs. Jacobs is working on her Doctorate degree in Curriculum and Instruction at Gardner-Webb University, with an expected graduation in August 2023. Ms. Jacobs is a Master Teacher in an urban/suburban school district in South Carolina where she holds the position of Science Teacher and Leadership Team member. As an adjunct associate professor for Grand Canyon University, Ms. Jacobs facilitates education content to undergraduate teacher candidates, with a focus on social justice and middle and secondary curriculum pedagogy and supervises teacher education practicum students throughout the United States. Ms. Jacobs volunteers her time mentoring pre-service teachers from the University of South Carolina. Her passion is working with and growing the new teachers of today and tomorrow.
