Measurement

Our work is grounded in using both quantitative and qualitative data to measure and take strategic action toward transforming learning environments and improving student experience. While we utilize a range of context-specific data, we have contributed to the development of these research-based tools and use them often in our strategic coaching and liberatory design practice.

Catalyze

Catalyze helps leaders take stock of existing conditions and take steps towards learning-oriented organizational conditions—conditions in which stakeholders take ownership for student learning, for equitable outcomes, and for their own growth.

Elevate

Elevate helps teachers learn how to systematically improve their practice in ways that support student engagement, learning, and development. Students are more successful in class when they experience engaging learning conditions, like strong relationships with teachers and schoolwork that feels personally and culturally relevant. Elevate helps educators measure and improve these conditions.

Catalyze and Elevate were developed through a partnership between PERTS, the University of Chicago Consortium, the National Equity Project, and CASEL as part of the Building Equitable Learning Environments (BELE) Network.
