CHICAGO, IL (February 5, 2025) - The National Equity Project, a national leader in educational transformation, leadership development and systems change, will bring its acclaimed Leading for Equity™ Institute to the Chicagoland area this spring. The four-day immersive experience will take place April 24-27, 2025, taking regional educators and leaders on a journey focused on creating positive school experiences for all students where everyone feels cared for, that they belong and can thrive.
Since 2001, the National Equity Project has offered this Institute to thousands of education leaders across the country to support them to learn to bridge differences, build authentic relationships, and develop practical approaches to ensure every student receives excellent educational opportunities.
"At a time when our communities feel increasingly divided, creating spaces where educators can build authentic relationships across differences is more critical than ever," said Linda Ponce de León, Midwest Regional Director at the National Equity Project. "We're bringing this opportunity to the Midwest because we believe in the power of local leaders working across boundaries to create lasting positive change for all students."
The Institute emphasizes:
Building trust and authentic relationships and alliances across differences
Developing emotional intelligence to lead complex change
Implementing sustainable strategies that improve learning environments for all students
Fostering collaboration between educators, families, and communities
The Leading for Equity Institute will run from Thursday evening, April 24, through noon on Sunday, April 27, 2025.
